Capacity depends on the vessel: Taranau is coded for 12 passengers plus 2 professional crew, while Twist is optimised for 10-11 passengers.
We welcome all ages. For faster experiences we enforce a minimum height of 1.1 metres so passengers can safely use the integrated footrests. For younger children or a gentler pace, Bay Waves or private river charters are ideal.
Every passenger is provided with a premium, high-buoyancy automatic lifejacket. Vessels carry commercial liferafts and liferings, AIS Class A tracking, dual VHF radios, man-overboard recovery systems and onboard CCTV.
Coastal Shock involves the natural motion of the sea, while Bay Waves offers a smoother passage. If you have back, neck or heart conditions, or are pregnant, contact us so we can recommend the most appropriate vessel and route.
Cardiff Jet is fully licensed by the Maritime Coastguard Agency and Cardiff Harbour Authority, operating to a strict Safety Management System with regular emergency drills and maintenance procedures.
